Continuing Care for Long-Term Weight Control
When students leave Wellspring, they will be well on their way to reaching their healthy goal weight. With the skills and motivation developed during their time on campus, students are prepared for handling the stressors that often cause long-term weight controllers to struggle.
To help students transition from the immersive environment of Wellspring back to their home environment, we offer a free Continuing Care program for a full year. Wellspring alumni continue self-monitoring and working with their Behavioral Coach through our secure website. The tools they learned at Wellspring are continued online, with the added benefit of their Behavioral Coach continuing to monitor their progress and help them through any challenges.
Through the Continuing Care program, students are able to carry on daily self-monitoring, journaling and goal-setting, as well as weekly activity planning and weigh-ins. Private messaging with Behavioral Coaches and group discussion boards with former students help to keep students on-track and motivated.
We believe so strongly in the importance of our Continuing Care program that we attach a financial incentive to it. $700 of the refundable fees collected during students’ first month at school is refunded for successful completion of our Continuing Care program.
The $700 refund is based on meeting two criteria:
- Students completes 70 out of 90 days of self-monitoring on www.wellspringweightloss.com (at least 3 food items with fat and calories recorded per day)
- Parent (or student) obtains a medically verified height and weight measurement and provides this form back to Wellspring via fax, mail or email
