Wellspring Academies Professionals
Wellspring is world’s leading weight loss program for children, adolescents and young adults. We employ over 100 professionals year-round, including researchers, social workers, psychologists, certified teachers, personal trainers, exercise physiologists, nutritionists, dieticians, and a range of coaches and instructors. As a division of CRC Health Group, Wellspring has the support and resources of the largest provider of specialized behavioral healthcare in the nation.
Given Wellspring’s reputation for excellence in the field of adolescent weight loss and education, we have the luxury of choosing only the most qualified individuals to join our team. In addition, Wellspring Academies staff are specially trained to manage the unique needs of our students. For example, members of the fitness team are trained in minimizing injuries and maximizing participation with students of different fitness levels, including those who have been inactive for a long time. Behavioral Coaches are trained in using their therapeutic skills to address and help students work through the specific emotional difficulties faced by overweight adolescents.
All Wellspring Academies staff must meet the following criteria:
- Have a particular interest in obesity treatment, nutrition, personal and athletic training, and children's health
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a clean driving and criminal record
- Have current CPR/First Aid certification
- Be models of healthy eating, fitness and positive living
