Typical Day at Wellspring College Program
A typical day at Wellspring includes plenty of physical activity, time with good friends, great food, and opportunities to take on new challenges. Below are two examples of a typical day—the first is for the Academic Track, and the second is for the Adventure Track.
Day in the Life of an Academic Track Student
| 6:30 | Rise and shine! |
| 7:00 | Morning walk around the peach fields, followed by stretch circle. You’ll be well on your way to your goal of 10,000 steps before breakfast! |
| 8:30 | Breakfast of pancakes, scrambled Egg Beaters, fresh fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring. |
| 9:30 | Ride Wellspring shuttle to Reedley College |
| 10:00-11:30 | College Algebra Class |
| 11:45-12:30 | Workout at Xcellerate Gym |
| 12:30 | Lunch of shredded BBQ chicken sandwiches, baked potato chips, soup and salad bar brought to Reedley College by Wellspring Staff |
| 1:00-2:30 | Freshman English Class |
| 2:30-3:00 | Walk Reedley College track around the football field |
| 3:00 | Ride Wellspring Shuttle back to WSCA |
| 3:15 | Culinary class: make fruit pizzas for afternoon snack |
| 4:30 | Afternoon activity: Lap swimming or basketball. |
| 5:30 | Free time to rest up, call home, get in an extra workout, or meet up with friends to play Wii or Ping-Pong. |
| 6:30 | Dinner of bison burgers, sweet potato fries, soup and salad bar. Dessert of fat free soft serve ice cream |
| 7:15 | Group meeting to review the day and plan for tomorrow. |
| 7:30 | Evening activity: Soccer, Fitness Center, or Swimming |
| 8:30 | Study hall or movie night |
| 9:30 | Evening snack of low-fat chocolate brownies. |
| 10:00 | Lights Out! |

Day in the Life of an Adventure Track Student
| 6:30 | Rise and shine! Wake up in your tent in Morro Bay on a bluff overlooking the ocean. |
| 7:00 | Morning walk through Morro Bay State Park, followed by stretch circle. |
| 8:30 | Breakfast of breakfast burritos: scrambled Egg Beaters, turkey bacon, and fat free cheese, fresh fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring. |
| 9:30 | Kayaking at Morro Bay, exploring the dunes and checking out some seals in the bay. |
| 12:30 | Lunch of chicken salad pita sandwiches, baked potato chips, fruit and veggies on the beach overlooking the bay. |
| 1:00-2:30 | Tour through downtown Morro Bay on the way to the aquarium—getting lots more steps in while we tour! |
| 2:30-3:00 | Morro Bay aquarium to feed seals and check out fish. |
| 3:30 | Snack of Snackwells Devil’s Food Cakes |
| 4:00 | Volleyball on the beach |
| 5:00 | Free time to rest up, call home, get in an extra run/walk around the campground, or hang out with new friends |
| 6:30 | Dinner of bison burgers, fat free baked beans, corn of the cob, fruit, veggies, and fat free yogurt. |
| 7:15 | Group meeting to review the day and plan for tomorrow. |
| 7:30 | Walk down to Morro Rock to watch the sunset |
| 8:30 | Showers at the campsite and campfire time |
| 9:30 | Evening snack of campfire S'mores. Yum! |
| 10:00 | Back to your tent for another night sleeping under the stars. |
